This insurance covers diagnostic tests, medications, surgeries, hospital stays, prescription foods, prosthetic devices, orthotic devices, carts, supplements, and herbal therapy. 

It also covers, for an additional cost, rehabilitative therapy, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, chiropractic, behavioural modification and therapy, homeopathy, and naturopathy. 

What it doesn’t cover are pre-existing conditions (conditions that show symptoms in the 18 months before enrollment or during waiting periods), preventative care (flea and tick, vaccinations, etc.), spay or neuter, exam fees, and sales tax where applicable.
