Our Guarantee
Country Lane Retrievers guarantee that all puppies have all the treatments and vaccinations required, recorded on their vet record. There is no guarantee on your puppy’s full mature size or behavior.
Health Guarantee (72 hours)
It is recommended that you take your puppy to your veterinarian for a health examination within 72 hours of pickup. Country Lane Retrievers will provide a replacement puppy of equal value if, during this examination, your veterinarian diagnoses a life-threatening congenital defect that affects the heart, liver, kidneys, or eyes, and the condition is so severe that euthanasia is deemed medically necessary. The replacement puppy will be provided from the next available litter, availability may not be immediate. This guarantee does not cover minor or common conditions, or any issues attributable to environmental factors outside of the breeder’s control. Exclusions include, but are not limited to: stress-induced hypoglycemia, coccidia, giardia, worms, pneumonia, kennel cough, skin or tissue conditions, allergies, injury, or any negligence on the new owners. You must notify Country Lane Retrievers on the same day the diagnosis is made to qualify for a replacement puppy. The breeder is not responsible for euthanasia costs. If euthanasia is performed without prior confirmation from the breeder, this guarantee is void.
Hip and Elbow Guarantee (1 year – only if your dog is fed on 4 Strong Paws)
If a licensed radiologist certifies that your dog has severe genetically inherited hip or elbow dysplasia requiring euthanasia, the breeder will provide a replacement puppy of equal value, up to the dog’s age of one year. A written and signed radiology report, including supporting radiographs, is required.
Because puppies grow rapidly and their joints are vulnerable during development, this guarantee is void if dysplasia or joint damage results from injury, over-exercise, improper nutrition, environmental factors, accidents, or any cause outside the breeder’s control.
This guarantee is valid only with proof that the dog has been consistently fed high-quality dog food throughout the first year. Approved foods are as follows:
- Inukshuk
- Open Farm
- Royal Canin
- 4 Strong Paws
- Hills Science Diet
- Acana
The breeder is not responsible for any veterinary, diagnostic, treatment, or euthanasia costs. You must notify the breeder on the same day the diagnosis is made. If euthanasia is performed without prior breeder confirmation, the guarantee is void. Replacement puppies will be provided from the next available litter and may not be immediate.
